The Mountain Man Father’s Day Shoot will be held again at the Sacajawea Center on the Saturday before Father’s Day. This year it is June 15th from 1-4pm. We will be here rain or shine and we are really hoping for a warm and sunny day. If you join us admission is $3.00 per person.
You can try your skills at shooting a bow and arrow, throwing a hatchet and you can learn the ancient skill of atlatl (spear) throwing. We will have mountain man trail food for you to taste including parched corn, pemmican, and ginger switchel to drink. There will be a display of historic guns and items used by mountain men in the 1800s. Start a family tradition and join us at the Sacajawea Center Outdoor School!
The Center is still looking for volunteers to help run stations, if you are available please call Lin at 208.756.1188 and leave a message if no one answers.
We’ll see you on the trail!
