Rent the Center
The Sacajawea Center’s 71-acre park, surrounded by beautiful mountain views, is available as an Idaho event rental facility. Consider us for your next function whether it is a wedding, anniversary celebration, graduation party, business retreat, public meeting, conference, or board meeting.

- Multiple bookings may be eligible for a 10% discount with approval from the City Council. This discount would not apply to the cleaning/damage deposit.

Learning Center
An ideal backdrop for your next special occasion. Choose from the main floor, the daylight basement, or the whole Learning Center
Policies - Please read each bullet carefully to make sure you are refunded your deposit in full!
- Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Salmon and its agents against any and all liability arising from the use or misuse of said property.
- Reservation times must include set-up, take-down, and clean-up.
- All rental fees and deposits must be paid before reservations are recorded.
- Reservation refunds will be given up to two business days after reservations have been made. If reservations are canceled after 48 hours only the cleaning deposit will be refunded, otherwise no refunds will be given except in the case of unforeseen circumstances.
- Smoking is not allowed at any time within City facilities.
- In compliance with local fire codes, the maximum room occupancy may not exceed the designated room capacity. Tables or chairs cannot block aisles or fire exits.
- User agrees not to damage, destroy, or deface any property of the Center and agrees to be responsible for the total cost of repair or replacement of property damaged, destroyed, or defaced by those in attendance.
- No nails, tacks, screws or similar articles may be driven into or applied to plaster or wood surfaces. No glitter, confetti, or fake flower petals may be used onsite. All decorations must be removed by the end of use.
- User agrees to comply with local, state, federal and international laws and regulations, including but not limited to copyright and intellectual property rights laws when accessing the Internet through the Center’s WIFI connection.
- The Center does not endorse/sponsor your Event and/or its contents. User shall not distribute any materials which indicate or imply such endorsement/sponsorship.
- Set up and take down of tables, chairs, and all other items used during the rental is the responsibility of the user.
- User is responsible for cleaning areas rented after the event and for removing all garbage to the receptacles by the red barn. A cleaning check list will be provided.
- To ensure return of deposit, user MUST complete a “check-out” form and leave it onsite.
- If there are no cleaning or repair costs the deposit will be refunded within 6 weeks.
Site Use Information:
All decorations must be free-standing.
NO tacks, tape, nails or other items that can damage paint and wood finishes are allowed.
NO glitter, confetti, lighted paper lanterns, or fake flower petals may be used onsite.
Because the Sacajawea Center does not have a facilities staff:
- You are responsible for cleaning after your event. Locations must be returned to their original state.
- All equipment must be properly stored and all garbage taken to the dumpsters immediately following the event unless prior arrangements have been made.
If there is any damage to facilities or equipment due to your use, you forfeit any deposit, and will be held responsible for the total cost of repairs or cleaning of rented facilities and equipment.

Capacity: 115 people standing; 80 people banquet style
Space size approximately 50′ x 20′
Lower Level
Includes unisex restroom
Capacity: 120 people standing; 100 people banquet style
Space size approximately 65′ x 22′
Learning Center rentals includes:
- 215 stackable chairs,
- 24, 6ft tables,
- 8, 2’x2′ wooden tables,
- 16 wooden chairs,
- Linen Tablecloths
- wi-fi, and
- projector/DVD/sound system (upper level only)
The Grounds
Several locations are available for rent. If you do not see the site you are looking for, contact us. With the Beaverhead Mountains as a focal point and the natural beauty of the park, you can’t go wrong!
A four-hour minimum rental is required for all outdoor events.

Sacajawea Center Amphitheater
The Amphitheater is a beautiful outdoor setting with picturesque views of the mountains. Perfect for outdoor concerts, performances, weddings, and powwows. A large star tent to cover the stage and sound system are available for rent. Please see the Rental Rates tab for more details

The Meriwether Theatre
The Meriwether Theatre is a classic red barn with stadium seating. Perfect for intimate concerts, speakers, county barn weddings, historical/cultural presentations and drama performances. The quaint theater seats up to 75.
Ranch Yard
A large, level, grassy area to accommodate a wide variety of outdoor activities. Perfect for dutch oven cooking events and other outdoor gatherings.

Picnic Area
A prime location for outdoor group events,. The Picnic Area is a clearing in a wooded area complete with fire ring, grill, and picnic benches. Located on the Sacajawea Center grounds, the Picnic Area is accessible by foot unless prior arrangements are made.
